Connext was founded in Paderborn in April 1986 as a "Kesselmeier microcomputer" and dealt first - besides classical system house services - with the development and implementation of custom software.
In 1991, the company was renamed Connext Communication GmbH and a little later the focus on the social and health services took place. With the introduction of the Vivendi modules in early 1996 and the rapid spread in the market successfully branched out change for the standard software maker.
In the following years, offices emerged in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Bad Vilbel and Bietigheim-Bissingen. The Austrian market is operated since 2004 by the partners x-tention. In 2010 it took place in Paderborn, the relocation of corporate headquarters to the new Connext campus which i.a. also includes an education and training center.
