Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform and Hitachi Compute Blade 2000 connected to the SAN through two Brocade 5300 switches. Each of the server blades in the desktop block had two Fibre Channel connections with one connection to each Brocade switch. This provided redundancy and load balancing. VMware native multipathing round-robin was used to balance the I/O across both connections.Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform used four Fibre Channel connections, with two connections to each Brocade switch.
