The HPE Smart Array P430 Controller is a low profile, PCIe3 x8, 12 Gb/s capable Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) RAID controller that provides enterprise class storage performance and data protection for select HPE ProLiant Gen8 rack and tower servers. It features eight internal physical links and delivers increased server uptime by providing advanced storage functionality, including online RAID level migration (between any RAID levels) with Flash Backed Write Cache (FBWC), global online spare, and pre-failure warning. Data compatibility between HP Smart Array Controllers means customers can easily upgrade to future Smart Array Controllers.

Increased Performance and Data Protection.

The HPE Smart Array P430 Controller is capable of delivering 12 Gb/s bandwidth and can improve application performance. DDR3-1600MHz Flash Backed Write Cache provides up to 12.8 GB/s maximum cache bandwidth to the 2 GB cache model. DDR3-1866MHz Flash Backed Write Cache kit w/battery provides up to 14.9 Gb/s maximum cache bandwidth to the 4 GB cache model. HPE SSD Smart Path provides up to 4x better SSD read performance for Microsoft Windows and Linux.

Data Protection.

Data security with optional HPE Secure Encryption, an enterprise-class encryption solution for data at rest on any bulk storage attached to the P430 Controller. Long term data retention with 2GB FBWC or 4GB FBWC kit. Standard on the P430 are RAID 6 ADG, RAID 60 ADG, RAID 1 ADM. Predictive spare activation for improved rebuild and maximized uptime.
