HYCU SCOM Management Pack for Nutanix (HYCU's SCOM MP for Nutanix) enables IT teams to monitor Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure within Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and discover business critical applications, such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, formerly XenApp and XenDesktop; Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL running on Nutanix VMs. It provides an extensive set of features needed by IT for health, availability, reporting, infrastructure and application performance monitoring.
On top of this, HYCU’s SCOM MP for Nutanix includes also Nutanix-Citrix SuperPack, which is free for HYCU's customers of Nutanix MP. Nutanix-Citrix SuperPack is a set of dashboards corellating health and performance of data collected by Citrix SCOM Management Pack for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and HYCU's SCOM MP for Nutanix, which provides end-to-end visibility over entire Citrix application stack on Nutanix.
HYCU’s SCOM Management Pack for Nutanix provides the following:
Nutanix-Citrix SuperPack includes the following dashboards correlating information from Citrix SCOM Management Pack for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and HYCU's SCOM MP for Nutanix:
Dashboard correlates load and logon latency for Citrix delivery groups running on Nutanix with resource utilization of Nutanix VMs hosting it and resource utilization of hosting Nutanix cluster. SCOM engineers can now quickly pinpoint cause of increased logon duration on decreased load index for selected group, which can originate in Nutanix resource bottlenecks or low SSD Vs HDD ratio on Nutanix.
Dashboard identifies server OS machines belonging to selected Citrix delivery group and correlates them with Nutanix VMs and Nutanix cluster resource utilization. SCOM engineers can quickly pinpoint potential VM resource bottleneck or cluster resource bottleneck, which impacts the delivery group.
Dashboard correlates historic logon duration trend for selected Citrix site with the historic resource utilization of hosting Nutanix cluster. SCOM engineers can quickly identify an impact of increased Nutanix resource utilization on logon duration for individual Citrix site.
Dashboard correlates historic trend of active sessions for selected Citrix site with the historic trend of resource utilization for hosting Nutanix cluster. SCOM engineers can now see the impact of inreased active sessions for Citrix site on Nutanix resources that will help them decide whether they need to add more resources to Nutanix cluster to handle this load.
Dashboard detects the overprovisioning of Nutanix storage where Citrix Server OS machines are hosted and prevents situations, where Citrix Server OS machines in delivery groups would run out of Nutanix storage due to overprovisioning Nutanix storage.
