Minerva’s product suite automatically restrains malware without relying on signatures or statistical models that focus on detection, rather than prevention. Minerva accomplishes this by carefully controlling how malicious software “perceives” its environment to render malicious code ineffective. Minerva employs this deception-based approach in several ways, providing customers with modules that can be deployed independently or as a unified anti-malware solution to protect the VDI server and individual virtual machines running 32 or 64-bit operating systems.

Product Details

Minerva’s product suite automatically restrains malware without relying on signatures or statistical models that focus on detection, rather than prevention. Minerva accomplishes this by carefully controlling how malicious software “perceives” its environment to render malicious code ineffective. Minerva employs this deception-based approach in several ways, providing customers with modules that can be deployed independently or as a unified anti-malware solution to protect the VDI server and individual virtual machines running 32 or 64-bit operating systems.

One of Minerva’s anti-malware modules causes malware to suspend its activities by making it look like the malicious program is running in an analysis sandbox. This approach is especially effective with evasive malware, that is generally effective at fooling “traditional” anti-malware tools. However, when this Minerva module is deployed alongside of such tools, customers gain the peace of mind that malicious programs that otherwise wouldn’t have been detected, will be automatically blocked.

Other modules that comprise Minerva’s suite of products include protection against ransomware and other destructive malware, as well as provide customers the ability to engage in threat hunting activities when the need for such investigations arises. Minerva can also protect against memory injection attacks as well as those that employ malicious documents to deploy file-less and other types of malware.

Minerva can protect the VDI server as well as the individual virtual machines. It’s compatible with 32 and 64-bit Windows operating system versions.

List the benefits of integrating Minerva for VDI with Citrix product

  • Minerva’s agent is extremely lightweight, and enhances security without adding any performance overhead to customers’ VDI solutions.
  • Minerva’s architecture allows customers to deploy our agent on the VDI server as well as inside the individual virtual machines, providing reliable anti-malware protection for every VDI user.
  • Minerva’s single installation package supports all Windows operating systems and works with both 32 and 64-bit OS flavors.

Features

Minerva’s malware protection solution blocks malicious software early, drastically minimizing the likelihood of a data breach, and covering the gaps that customers’ existing anti-malware solutions leave when Minerva isn’t present. Our unique benefits include:

  • Minerva blocks evasive malware, and ransomware that often gets past other solutions.
  • Minerva doesn’t rely on pre-generated signatures, models or behavioral patterns.
  • Minerva plays nice with security products without encouraging a rip-and-replace.
  • Minerva leaves a minimal footprint and runs on endpoints old and new.
