The new RS-27H was designed primarily for use by transcriptionist, court reporters and system administrators who take and transcribe dictation using the ODMS R6 or DSS Player Standard Transcription, the new RS-27H footswitch improve the speed and efficiency of the recording and transcription processes.

The RS-27H is HID compatible and can be configured for use with third-party software. Which means, a keyboard signal can be assigned to the new footswitch using the Footswitch Configuration Tool. For example, a user can press a pedal that has been assigned the “Enter” command using the configuration tool to perform that function in a third party software. A user can operate various applications on their PC with their foot instead of their hand. In total, three pedals are equipped with RS-27H.
