The SuperServer 4028GR-TR is a high-end server comprised of two main subsystems: the SC418GTS-R3200B 4U rackmount chassis, the X10DRG-O+ dual processor serverboard and the X10DRG-O+-CPU I/O board.

At the heart of the SuperServer 4028GR-TR lies the X10DRG-O+-CPU, a dual processor serverboard based on the Intel® C612 PCH chipset and designed to provide maximum performance. The X10DRG-O+ supports Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 series processors.

The X10DRG-O+ has 24 DIMM slots to support up to 1.5 TB of LRDIMM. 768 GB of RDIMM or 128 GB of ECC/non-ECC UDIMM DDR3-2133/1866/1600MHz ECC DDR4 SDRAM 72-bit memory. A Serial ATA controller is integrated into the C612 to provide four SATA 3.0 ports (I-SATA 0/1) that support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. The SATA drives are hot-swappable units.
