The SuperStorage Server 2028R-E1CR24N is a storage system comprised of two main subsystems: the SC216BE1C-R920LPB 2U/rackmount chassis and the X10DRi-T4+ dual processor serverboard.

The SuperStorage Server 2028R-E1CR24N is built around the X10DRi-T4+, a dual processor serverboard based on the Intel C612 chipset. The X10DRi-T4+ supports single or dual Intel® Xeon E5-2600 (v3) Series processors. The X10DRi-T4+ has 24 DIMM slots that can support up to 1536 GB of Load Reduced (LRDIMM) or 768 GB of Registered (RDIMM) ECC DDR42133/1866/1600 memory.

An LSI 3108 controller card is included in the system to support up to 240 SATA 3.0/SAS 3.0 hard drives. A SATA controller is also integrated into the chipset to provide 10 SATA 3.0 (6/Gbps) ports (I-SATA0-5 supported by Intel PCH and S-SATA0-3 supported by Intel SCU), which are RAID 0, 1 and 10 supported.
